How do ovulation test LH midstreams work?
These Ovulation Instream Kits are designed to work by detecting any sudden increase in the luteinizing hormone that’s is found in urine before you ovulate. The drastic increase in LH hormone is known as LH surge. Using our cheap ovulation tests, you can detect the most fertile days and time intercourse during your fertile week to increase the chances of getting pregnant.
After the ovulation, you have about 6 hours to 24 hours to get the egg fertilised. As a result, it is essential to understand your body cycle to increase the chances of falling pregnant. Many studies have already shown that ovulation predictor kits are the most accurate and minimally invasive way to know one’s fertile window.

Every In-Stream Ovulation Test is packaged in a sealed pouch, allowing you to test for your most fertile window anytime and anywhere. Follow these four steps to increase your chances of conceiving.
- Open the packet and remove the Midstream Ovualtion Test.
- Take the cap off the LH test to expose the absorbent tip, do not touch the absorbent test.
- Hold the Ovulation Test LH Midstream in your urine stream until it is thoroughly wet.
- Recap and lay the LH test device on a flat non-surface with the test window facing upwards.
It is that easy! Now just wait for the dye to move up through the Ovulation Test LH Midstream. The best time to take the test is between 10 am and 8 pm for the most accurate ovulation test results.
How do you interpret the Ovulation Predictor Kit results?
If the ovulation test kit detects an LH surge, you will observe this in about 40 seconds. The test dye will move up fast to show a positive result, revealed with two colour lines. The text line is going to be darker or have the same colour as the control line. If you get a positive ovulation result, you are likely to ovulate within 12 to 36 hours.
If you have no LH surge, then you will get a negative result in about 10 minutes. The one-colour band will appear on the control region, or the test line will be lighter than the control line.
Instream Ovulation Test FAQs
How do midstream ovulation predictor kits work
If you have never used mid-stream OPK before, you must be wondering how these tests work. Our affordable ovulation kits work by measuring the luteinising hormone levels usually found in the urine. If the LH levels increase, the ovary will release an egg or a mature oocyte, positive results. Positive results usually indicate that you are more likely to ovulate in the next 12- 36 hours, increasing your chances of getting pregnant.
Are these ovulation predictor kits accurate?
At Fertility2Family, we take pride in the ovulation tests that will provide both our ovulation and pregnancy tests that are 99% accurate. The midstream ovulation and OPK tests can be used at home to help determine your most fertile window. Our products are TGA approved and are tested for quality regularly.
Is it possible to know my ovulation days?
At Fertility2Family, we recommend using the chart provided on the instructions to determine your cycle length. This makes it easy to know the days you’d start testing for the luteinising hormone surge. Those unsure about their cycle length can do the test from the 11th day, then do a test every day for five days or until they get a positive ovulation test.
Can the ovulation predictor test kits expire?
All the ovulation kits we provide contain antibodies that detect any luteinizing hormone in the urine. These antibodies can degrade over time, making the test kits less accurate. If you use the ovulation instream tests after the expiry date, you will get unreliable results. Luckily, the ovulation test kits come with a 20 months expiry period or more, so you have ample time to use them at your convenience.
Do you sell the midstream ovulation predictor kits in bulk?
Yes. All of our customers can access different OPK packages specifically designed to meet the unique fertility journey of every woman. So, whether you require 10, 30, 50, or even 100 ovulation instream tests, we are always ready to provide accurate ovulation tests that offer the support you need throughout your journey until you conceive. Just contact us or visit our website to make your order today.
Can I use an ovulation test to see if I am pregnant?
Using an LH test to detect pregnancy is possible because the hormones and antibodies present in your urine when you are pregnant are molecularly the same. Using an LH test to test for pregnancy is not recommended as it is not a reliable source and can give false positives and false-negative results. The best way to know if you are pregnant is by use of a home pregnancy test.
Basal Body Thermometer
Using a basal body thermometer can help you understand and track your menstrual cycle with ease and detect your most fertile window. While trying to conceive, using a basal ovualtion thermometer (BBT) will allow you to pick up tiny changes in your basal body temperature, and the small shifts occur when the changes in your hormones happen around ovulation.
Detecting ovulation and timing intercourse will assist you in getting pregnant fast.
