Pregnancy Test Instructions
- Collecting your morning urine in a clean urine collection cup
- Remove the home pregnancy test from the packaging by touching the green handle.
- Point the absorbent tip into the urine you have collected and dip the test to the max line.
- Holding in the sample for fifteen seconds, you will notice the dye start to move up the test strip, ensuring that the testing device collects an adequate sample.
- Place the strip test horizontally on a clean, flat surface.
- Waiting three minutes for the urine to fully move through the test before interpreting the results.
When interpreting the results needs to be done after three minutes but not after five minutes as the urine will start to dry, which can cause an evaporation line and an invalid result.

Do you have to use your first-morning urine for a home pregnancy test?
In short, no, the reason why it is suggested to use your first-morning urine is that when you choose an early detection test like the Fertility2Family’s, that can detect pregnancy before your missed period. There will only be small amounts of hCG in your urine. In the morning, your urine is more concentrated and potentially will have more hCG is present. Since your missed period, the longer it’s been since your missed period, the better chance of detecting hCG in your urine.
How common are false positives?
Getting a true false positive when you were never pregnant is extremely rare, on any brand including ours. An HPT will only show a line if there has been hCG in your system; using an early detection pregnancy test can pick us very small traces of hCG in your system, which indicates that you were recently pregnant but have had a non-viable pregnancy; this is very common and can account for 70% of all pregnancies.
Faint line on a pregnancy test?
A faint positive line isn’t uncommon, and there are a few possible explanations, A faint line that appears on the home pregnancy test within the instructed time frame reveals a faint positive line you indeed could be pregnant, although hCG is present in your urine the low levels are resulting in a faint positive line. The other explanation for a faint line on a home pregnancy test is an evaporation line or early pregnancy loss, which is also known as a chemical pregnancy.
