Your most fertile days are the three days leading up to and including the day of ovulation. The highest chance of falling pregnant is to have sex on the day that you ovulate & the three days leading up to your ovulation. Knowing your body’s ovulation cycle will help increase your chances of pregnancy.

Our cheap ovulation predictor kits (opk) work by allowing you to detect your monthly LH Surge – the sudden and dramatic increase in Luteinizing Hormone (LH) present in your urine just before you ovulate. LH is the hormone that facilitates ovulation (the release of the egg). When you detect your LH surge with an ovulation test, you know you are at your most fertile.

How long after LH surge do you ovulate?

Ovulation occurs within 12 to 36 hours after a positive ovulation test. The only time to fertilise an egg is 6 to 24 hours after ovulation. How to use an ovulation predictor kit (OPK)

1. Collect your urine in a clean urine collection cup. The best time to collect your urine is 10 am – 8 pm.
2. Remove the ovulation predictor kit (OPK) from the sealed pouch.
3. Immerse the ovulation predictor kit into the urine with the arrow end pointing towards the urine.

Do not immerse past the MAX (maximum) line. Take the strip out after 15 seconds and lay the strip flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface.

Interpret the results after 40 seconds and before 10 minutes.

When to take a pregnancy test?

Pregnancy tests work by detecting Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG) in your urine. HCG is also known as the pregnancy hormone. Our early pregnancy test can detect hCG at 10mIU/ml, making them one of the best pregnancy tests for early detection.

Following our home pregnancy tests (HPTs), instructions can reduce the chances of receiving an evaporation line or false negative pregnancy tests. This is why we include detailed instructions with every Fertility Kit purchased. How to use a home pregnancy test

1. Collecting your first-morning urine in a clean urine collection cup.
2. Remove the home pregnancy test from the packet. Try to avoid contact with the absorbent end.
3. Dip the pregnancy strip test to the max line. After 15 seconds, remove the pregnancy strip from the urine.
4. Lay the test down flat and leave for three minutes. After this window, observes the pregnancy test result.

Do not interpret test results after 5 minutes. The urine will start to dry and fade, which can lead to evaporation lines on a pregnancy test.

When charting your Basal Body Temperature (BBT), it’s important to take your temperature when most at rest, as soon as you wake up.

How to use a basal body thermometer

The easiest way to use a basal body thermometer is to set your alarm, and once awake, place your Fertility2Family Basal Ovulation Thermometer in your mouth at the back under your tongue where your heat pads are in your mouth, and keep on sleeping until the thermometer beeps.

Your temperature will be read in about 30 – 45 seconds. Once the basal body thermometer beeps, you can remove the thermometer from your mouth and return to sleep until you are ready to start the day.

The auto-shutoff on the ovulation thermometer will turn off your device pretty quickly to help preserve the battery life, and the handy memory function will allow you to record and chart your temperature later in the day. It’s that easy!
