A basal body thermometer is a highly sensitive thermometer designed to measure two decimal places accurately. This is important when tracking your most fertile period and using an ovulation thermometer.

Your basal body temperature is your lowest temperature at rest. Taking your temperature as soon as you wake up before sitting up or drinking water is important. Taking your temperature at the same time each day will help give a more accurate result.

How to use a basal body thermometer

Using a basal body thermometer is super easy by following these four steps:

1. Set your alarm the night before to wake at the same time each day
2. Place your Fertility2Family Basal Ovulation Thermometer in your mouth and snooze until the thermometer beeps.
3. Once the basal body thermometer has beeped, you can remove the thermometer from your mouth.
4. Keep snoozing and record and chart your temperature later in the day.

It’s that easy! The auto-shutoff will kick in to preserve the battery life, and the handy memory on the BBT will allow you to record your basal temp later in the day on your BBT tracking chart.
